Congratulations to Dr. Shay Waugh for successfully defending her PhD thesis!

Welcome back Seraphina! Seraphina completed her 8 month Honours project in the laboratory (April 2025), and is currently investigating human host responses to T. pallidum.

Angela Mitchell (Master’s student) received the Greig Cosier Memorial Scholarship and the Agnew Memorial Award. Sean Waugh (PhD candidate) received the Ray Hadfield Memorial Fellowship.

Angela Mitchell received the 2024 Island Women in Science and Technology Scholarship! This scholarship is for women studying STEM fields on Vancouver Island.
